eCommAdvisor takes regular breaks from business to bring aid to the community of Leogane, Haiti.
Please consider donating to support the people of Haiti.
In March 2010, I joined a small team of people to bring aid and hope to a community of people in Haiti. My friend, Claudy (a former Haitian national soccer player) had asked me to join his relief organization "Hearts 4 Haiti" - I had no idea how profoundly the decision to go to Haiti would change my life...and in the few trips made so far, I have established bonds with a community I am proud to call my friends (zanmi pam).
Photos and videos of prior trips may be seen on my facebook page: Hearts For Haiti - Part 1. It is my goal to continue to return again to Haiti, and do whatever is possible to help these people re-build their lives and dreams. I am humbly asking for your continued support in this effort.
FUNDRAISING EVENT: Saturday, December 10, 2011 @ The 1640 Hart House in Ipswich, MA. Call or email for more details! Check out the Facebook event page for updates: Holidays For Haiti
Our next trip is scheduled for just after Christmas 2011 - staying through New Years until about mid-January.The rebuilding continues to be slow. Energy sources are still very hard to come by - so we are investigating the use of SOLAR as a permanent solution. This seems to make sense for a country that gets LOADS of sun everyday :) At the same time, there is STILL a huge need for basics. As many of you know, disease and infection are still rampant in Haiti. With that in mind, we are making arrangements through Air Mobile Ministries to purchase a second portable Water Filtration System (click link for more info on this amazing device!) that will provide clean water for another entire village! Our third initiative is helping to set up an education foundation to help get Haitian children back to school - as very few schools have been reconstructed.
I am still eagerly seeking financial support as well as donations of the following types of items that we can bring to the community there:
Any Solar Powered Items or Small/Med Sized Panels
18V Battery Powered Tool Kits (such as Ryobi, DeWalt, etc)
More Flashlights
Batteries (all sizes)
Loads and Loads of HAND SANITIZER
Sheets and Blankets
Sandals / Lightweight Shoes (new or used)
Summer / Lightweight Clothing
Soap / Other Toiletry Items
Any over the counter meds such as Tylenol, Advil, Aspirin, Pepto, etc
These items may be dropped off or mailed to Mark Fitzgerald, c/o Hearts 4 Haiti, 85 Old Right Rd, Ipswich, MA 01938
If you prefer to make a financial donation of any size, please feel free to do so through my PayPal link below. You donations, thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated. Thank You!
